- Can i use stage 2v7 without the z32 maf meter or
without sr20det 370cc fuel injectors?
No, the software is precisely calibrated to use that
sensor and those fuel injectors.
- Will stage 2v7 make my SVX faster even if I don't do
any other performance modifications?
Yes stage 2v7 is tuned for performance and will make an
otherwise stock SVX noticeably faster; however, that
performance tuning is also offered in our Stage 1v5
software.
- I'm not going to do any other modifications to my
car should I get stage2v7 instead of stage 1v5?
No, stage 1v5 will offer very similar performance when
used on a stock SVX.
- When should I get Stage 2v7 instead of stage 1v5?
- you want to turbocharge or supercharge
- you want to run a dry nitrous oxide system
- you will be doing engine modifications like camshafts
- you will be running high rpms
- you want to run e85 instead of gasoline
- I'm going to run a turbo; should I use a rising rate
fuel pressure regulator?
No it is not necessary to change the fuel pressure
regulator. The ECU knows how much "boost" there is
from the mass air meter readings/rpm and injects the
correct amount of fuel.
- Should I install Stage 2 before I make other
modifications or at the same time?
Install Stage 2 first if possible. Stage 2 will
run a stock car perfectly so there is no reason to wait
to install it. By installing it first and testing
it you can know that your engine management is
functioning correctly before you make other
modifications. Then when if you run into problems
when you install a modification you will know where to
look to find and solve your problem.
- Does Stage 2 effect dealer diagnostic equipment?
No. Stage 2 is invisible to and communicates
correctly with all dealer diagnostic equipment.
- Will Stage 2 work on a non-US market SVX?
On some non-US market SVX's the calibration of the
atmospheric pressure sensor does not match our software
and causes a check engine light to be displayed.
On other non-US market SVX's this problem has not been
seen. We unfortunately do not have the
information necessary to identify which non-US market
SVX's are fully compatible and which are not.
- What if the Stage 2 code is updated, will I have
to buy it again? The SVX Stage 2 code will
continue to be developed and refined and future updates
will be made available at a reduced cost.
